The Harry Potter series was supposed to be a fairytale book for the kids but it turned out to be a sensational hit even with the adults. Why Harry Potter is such a hit? Why does this potter boy have such a huge following? These were the questions I always used to think about.

One thing is for sure for a movie or a story to be hit among adults it has to be near to the reality in some way. Even though Harry’s story is in a fictitious magical world it is much closer to our world than we think.

Each and every character in the story has a connection with our world. Our parents like James and Lilly are the people who we believe that they do everything they can to ensure our safety and well being. There will be people like dementors around us who feed on our pain and try to make our lives miserable.

What the story teaches us is to try to be like Harry who was courageous in the most difficult times and could forgive people like Peter Pettigrew and could help even Draco Malfoy. It also tells us to overcome the fear of death and love is the most important thing in the world.

No wonder that the Harry Potter series became such a huge hit because it teaches us how to live our lives and everyone could relate the characters to our real world.
