My new found Love
Trying out new software, Operating systems has always been my pass time and of late i have added programming languages to it. Recently i am hooked with python. Even though i wrote programs in python as part of my course work it didn’t quite catch my attention at that time.
It all started when i read this article by Eric Raymond. He wrote about his personal experiences with python and why he prefers python over Perl for bigger projects ( i mean where code is greater than 100 lines). Considering his experience in two dozen languages, it is a serious advice for us.
I have found another fascinating article comparing programmer’s productivity while using Java and python which concludes that programmers using python are more productive than java.
Even though both Java and Python both have their own pros and cons the above two articles prompted me to learn python and thanks to swaroop’s byte of python i am now a good enough programmer in python within two days.
