Wordpress from today has started accepting themes in their theme directory. It’s been a long time since themes.wordpress.net stopped accepting new themes. Since then most theme authors have been distributing their themes from their own sites. We users used to find difficult to browser themes and has to rely on search engines to find the themes. Not that the authors will stop distributing from their sites we will have a centralized place to browse, rate themes just like the plug-in directory. You can browse themes here.

The wordpress directory is just created and it will take some time for directory to be really useful. Meanwhile I have a list of amazing themes which are free to download. My blog uses one of those themes. There are 53 themes and you can download them here and here.
